Revived Emotion is an International group exhibition of contemporary art by 37 artists from India, 13 Nepalese artists, and 17 Thai artists. The exhibition shows on the first floor at the Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Center, Thailand during the period 26-29 January 2020.

“This group exhibition aims to promote cultural learning through art and allows people to access to a variety of artistic creations among the environmental differences of society in that country Also, to exchange knowledge of art between Thailand and foreign countries. There are 150 paintings in the exhibition. As for the work from foreign artists like India, they often communicate through their works about the daily life of the artist, personal emotions, a society where they rely on traditions, cultures, and religions that they respect ” Nawat Lertsawaengkit who is the Thai curator of this exhibition told us.However, if walking to see all the works in the exhibition We will find that many artworks are hanging display on the wallpaper. Therefore, we have selected six artists out of all the artists to interview about their arts in this exhibition.

Prakash  Kishore

The first person, Dr.Prakash Kishore, an internationally renowned artist and the Indian curator of this exhibition drew the attention of all with his stunning artworks in terms of concept and its representation. His works are the outcome of emotions, thoughts, experience, frustrations, and reactions towards the society he lives in. The deep meaning of emotions sometimes takes place in the form of identified forms, abstract and void space, where he finds the agony of life. His works give a strong message about the conditioned life of the woman in today’s scenario. He has done deep research on Mediatic realism which brings down multiple interpretations of a single image creating more dialogues into his works. The treatment of the canvas is very different as the surface has its own importance and intrinsic value for the composition and the concept of the paintings. For him, Art is a phenomenon of mind and heart. The artist is a great admirer of nature and beauty which can be seen through his paintings.

As Col Suresan ,the artist Indian. His paintings are the reinvention of the moments he spent with nature and people during his career in the army. It depicts the feelings and expressions of a lonely traveler in an unknown world of emotions. He creates a poetic rhythm in his canvas with colors and strokes that unleashes a new era of possibilities.  He also addresses the current social issues, as he believes that art is the most effective mode of communication.

Srabani Sarkar

For Srabani Sarkar, She is an Indian female artist. Who is interested in human character, in which she conveyed to unique interest through the paper about the portrait of people. But with the head as a prominent feature of the image. That is to say, the head of the picture is replaced by a bird or nature like a cactus. For the cactus which means two character's people hidden within one person.  Because the cactus is a tree with sharp spines, but at the same time there are flowers. The other image is a bird that wants to give the meaning of human personality as well. Because the image of a bird in art means freedom And she thinks that people need freedom like birds that can fly around without boundaries. They have own happiness and ability to live as they want. Basically, we see just head and face idealism maybe it’s a similar character or some expression of people that why she makes the head in the other character how they are on her artwork. For her technique on unique artwork is to use wood-cut and color print on paper with specialist technic on the texture like stitching on clothes that she saw from her mother and grandmother in childhood. In terms of her initial inspiration regarding the interest in human character come from her childhood. She lives in a giant family, there are lots of people as father, mother,  grandparents, brother, sister, uncle, auntie. They are so different characters every day. They are also too much feeling to each other. That thing she has observed since she was young until she grows up, as always and continue to interest the different character of peoples. Therefore, she demonstrated this notion by drawing and printing.

Chand Kumar Doliya

Chand Kumar Doliya THE  FOUNDER OF ARTKAFISM ,one of the male artists from India who wanted to tell about the changes in the modern city through his paintings. In t this exhibition, he brought three pieces of work to exhibit. His latest collection talks about the gods of each religion (Shiva, Jesus Christ, and the Buddha )are on the canvas in such a way that they wear masks to prevent exposure to air pollution with the background ‘s detail of shift board. The artist chooses to paint the gods because people in each religion respect God the most. And always believed that God is the creator of everything. So in a difficult situation like the air pollution crisis in the city right now So they want God to protect him as well like the phrase  “God bless you”.Moreover, the shift board in the background can symbolize to our contemporary life. In this case, we are the owners of the mobile phone, computer, or digital life and at this time we’re lost our religion. Another interesting point in his series artworks is the canvas frame style. The artist is influenced by contemporary life especially mobile phones almost the type of iPhone. So he developed his painting canvas with the form of modern technology and it becomes the signature of his art.

And if talking about the art of Thai artists  Nanpaskorn Lumpakorn and PiraonThey are a new generation of Thai artists who have sent their works to participate in this group exhibition. Normally, Nanpaskorn Lumpakorn likes to do painting work by hand because she feels that it is valuable to the mind. And she is interested in exhibiting with other artists this time as well. Her paintings  The paintings include religious content which comes from Buddhist prayers. She uses interpretive techniques in her artwork such as adjusting styles by comparing that lotus flowers are goodness The obstacles or natural disasters that harm lotus flowers are evil. However, the lotus blossom still blooms and standing up because goodness can overcome evil like the teachings of the  Buddha. And Piraon, the owner of the wall artwork with ceramic materials which is a work that talks about everyday life and taking notes with the artist's picture.

Piraon

Like the purpose of the exhibition that the artists and curator intended from the beginning.Dr.Prakash Kishore also believes that “ Art is a universal language which connects hearts and is understood by all. A language where everybody participates in a conversation through harmony and rhythm of colors and forms. It is one of the best medium to express our emotions, feeling and love. ‘SUNEHRI CHABIL FOUNDATION, INDIA ’ has always been promoting art in India and other countries as well from time to time. We strongly believe that is the best way to develop. And we always believe in Art for one, Art for all ”
